Game description:

Jeff the Killer is a first-person survival horror game where the player wakes up inside an unfamiliar building and discovers that Jeff is hunting them. The main goal is to find a way out while exploring rooms, collecting clues, and avoiding direct encounters. The story is revealed gradually through notes, environmental details, and flashbacks connected to the kidnapping. Different discoveries and decisions can affect how the game ends.

Searching the House Without Being Found

Most of the game is spent moving through dark rooms and corridors while looking for useful objects and information. Jeff patrols the environment and reacts to sound, so careless movement can attract him. The player needs to decide when to explore, when to hide, and when to move away from dangerous areas. Some rooms contain clues that explain more about the protagonist and the reason they were brought there.

The main gameplay includes:

  •         exploring rooms and corridors;
  •         searching for notes and clues;
  •         solving environmental puzzles;
  •         avoiding Jeff when he approaches;
  •         hiding or moving quietly;
  •         using found objects to open new areas;
  •         experiencing flashbacks that reveal story details;
  •         making decisions that can influence the ending.

Clues Gradually Explain the Kidnapping

There are no traditional numbered levels. Progress is tied to reaching new parts of the building and discovering information that explains what happened before the player woke up. Notes and flashbacks add context to the main situation, while puzzles block access to certain areas. The player has to explore enough of the environment to understand where to go next without spending too much time in places where Jeff can find them.

Survival Depends on Noise and Timing

Jeff acts as the main threat throughout the game. He can hear sounds and actively searches for the player, which makes movement and timing important. If he finds the protagonist, the player may need to escape quickly or defend themselves depending on the situation. The game also allows the player to use a firearm against Jeff in some encounters, although avoiding him remains an important part of survival.

The overall objective is to escape while uncovering enough information to understand the story. Different choices and discoveries can lead to multiple endings, so completing one playthrough does not necessarily reveal every part of the plot. The structure combines exploration, puzzle solving, stealth, and occasional direct confrontation rather than separate combat stages or conventional levels.
