Game description:

Turboprop Flight Simulator is a 3D aircraft simulation game focused on modern turboprop planes, cargo operations, passenger flights, and ground vehicles. There is no traditional story campaign with fixed characters. Instead, the player completes training and mission-based objectives while learning how different aircraft behave. The game includes military transports, regional airliners, special-operations variants, VTOL aircraft, seaplanes, and cargo planes inspired by real aircraft such as the Airbus A400M, ATR series, and C-130 Hercules.

Learning the Aircraft Controls

The first missions teach basic procedures such as taxiing, taking off, flying, and landing. Aircraft have controls for rudder, flaps, landing gear, spoilers, thrust reversers, and auto-brakes. Different camera positions can be used, including cockpit views from the captain and copilot seats. The player can also walk through the interiors of many aircraft and interact with elements such as doors, cargo ramps, lights, and strobes.

The main gameplay includes:

  •         flying military and civilian turboprop aircraft;
  •         completing training and regular missions;
  •         taking off and landing at airports and improvised runways;
  •         loading, unloading, and airdropping cargo;
  •         transporting ground vehicles inside cargo aircraft;
  •         driving vehicles on the ground;
  •         using JATO/L for assisted takeoffs and landings;
  •         flying freely and creating custom routes on the map.

Cargo Missions Change What Happens on the Ground

Cargo aircraft are used for more than normal point-to-point flights. The player can open ramps, load vehicles and supplies, carry them to another location, and unload or drop them during a mission. Some missions involve search-and-rescue or special-operations aircraft, while others focus on passenger or transport duties. Ground vehicles can also be driven directly, which connects airport operations with the flight sections.

Islands, Airports, and Free Flight

The game does not use conventional numbered levels. Progress is built around separate missions and training scenarios spread across several islands with multiple airports. Free-flight mode removes mission restrictions and lets the player choose an aircraft, create a route, and explore the map. Flights can also take place under different times of day and weather conditions such as fog and wind.

The main challenge comes from controlling the aircraft correctly rather than fighting enemies or following a story. Poor landings and collisions can damage individual parts of the plane, including wings, tail sections, and the fuselage. Players can therefore use the game either to complete structured transport missions or simply practice flying, landing, cargo handling, and navigation in free flight.
