Roaring Knight Simulator is a fan-made battle game inspired by the Roaring Knight from Deltarune. The game is built around a direct confrontation rather than a long adventure with exploration, towns, quests, or a large cast of characters. Its story is limited to the encounter itself: the Roaring Knight is the central threat, and the player has to survive the fight by learning how the enemy attacks and how to react to each pattern.
The gameplay takes place inside a limited combat arena. The player moves around the available space, watches the Roaring Knight, and tries to avoid attacks before they cover dangerous areas. Some versions of the simulator focus on surviving the Knight directly, while others allow players to take the role of the Knight and use attacks against other participants. The game is therefore centered on movement, timing, positioning, and understanding attack patterns rather than collecting equipment or completing quests.
The main gameplay elements include:
Roaring Knight Simulator does not use traditional numbered levels or a large world map. The main encounter acts as the central part of the game, and progression comes from surviving longer and reaching later parts of the fight. If the battle changes phases, these work as sections of the same encounter instead of separate levels. There are no standard RPG systems such as towns, inventories, side quests, or permanent character development.
The basic approach is to enter the arena, keep track of the Roaring Knight’s position, and react when an attack begins. Movement is important because many attacks require the player to leave a dangerous area before it becomes difficult to escape. Repeated attempts help reveal which patterns return, where safe spaces appear, and when there is time to act. Some browser versions use the mouse, WASD, or arrow keys for movement.
Most of the game is therefore based on practicing one central battle. There is no separate campaign story or conventional level progression. The player improves mainly by recognizing attack timing, avoiding unnecessary damage, and learning how the Roaring Knight behaves during different parts of the encounter.
